Entry and Roster Application

TO APPLY:

2. Submit a digital entry form by clicking below.  OR download the form and mail a hard copy to 3008 S Burke Street, Visalia CA 93292.

3. Include photos and a history of your car (if you are new to our group).

4. Each entry application will be evaluated by our team to determine historical accuracy.  

5. If accepted, we will send an acceptance letter and instructions for payment of your entry fees.

Car and Driver Requirements

Our goal is to give spectators the opportunity to learn what racing looked like 100 years ago. 

To that end...

 

CARS:

• All cars must be 1920 or older. 

• They must be an authentic race car or an exact recreation of a race car from that period.  Cars must be restored or preserved as they would have looked in the period up to 1920 with no parts or modifications that weren’t available on cars during that period.

• Exceptions for components that are no longer available are occasionally made.

• No modern graphics or advertisements are allowed.

• Cars must be able to safely maintain minimum speeds of 55 mph.

• Cars should arrive at the track running and “race ready” – a tech sheet will be provided to each entrant prior to the event as a guideline for proper preparation.

 

DRIVERS:

• Drivers are not required to have racing credentials, medical certificates or modern racing gear.

• Racing experience is not required but it is helpful.  

• Our track time is a “Race Exhibition”. Reckless or aggressive driving is not allowed, but we don’t limit speeds on track.  Passing is allowed and encouraged so spectators can experience what racing looked like 100 years ago

• Drivers must wear period racing gear when on track such as coveralls, leather helmets, goggles, gloves etc.  Occasionally we are required to wear modern helmets by track officials, but it is rare.

• Riding Mechanicians must be at least 18 years old.

• Drivers and crew are encouraged, but not required, to wear period clothes while in the paddock area.

 

ENTRY FEES:

Entry fees are designed to cover the cost of transporting and setting up our large diorama, demonstration “Take-Apart-T”, car displays and trading cards. Our entry fees are a fraction of what it would cost to enter these events individually.  Additionally, we provide a couple of skilled mechanics for track-side assistance, at no cost, for the inevitable breakdowns.  Tools and supplies are provided for group use.  Hospitality snacks and drinks are provided at every event, and at some events lunch, banquets and parties are included.
